Testimonials

NuBrick has been an incredible partner to our internal HR function in a variety of roles including senior executive coaching and helping shepherd the CEO succession process.

Chairman of the Board, Reinsurance Group of America

I achieved a career goal to become the president of Barnes Jewish Hospital. I would never have achieved this honor without the leadership coaching and advanced testing provided by NuBrick Partners. I was able to explore both my strengths and potential “derailers” as a physician leader. I am so convinced of the value of this approach that I now require testing and coaching for my entire team.

MD and President, BJC Healthcare

I and several members of my department have worked with NuBrick Partners over the past several years for one-on-one coaching with key leaders and department change management. Our experience has been outstanding. My own personal leadership has been greatly enhanced, the leadership of other key departmental leaders has been strongly impacted, and our work optimizing department culture and employee satisfaction has been very well received.

MD and Distinguished Professor of Neurological Surgery, Washington University School of Medicine

NuBrick Partners provided a framework wherein Madison College is better able to position itself for the changing student, workforce, and needs of the community. As senior leaders learn more about each other, we are able to enhance our working relationships through a better understanding of each leader’s behavioral styles, experience, and expertise that leads to a greater collective alignment in furthering the college’s mission and its goals.

President, Madison College

I think the three basic points I took away from the NuBrick Partners coaching experience were:

1. Everyone wearing a white coat is seen as a leader in the hospital
2. Instilling the importance of staying above the line
3. Mechanisms (EQ) to achieve that goal

Today, I hear physicians wanting roles as leaders, speaking with pride about being leaders and acting as leaders. It doesn’t get any better than that.

Chief Medical Officer, Missouri Baptist Hospital

Our rheumatology practice grew from 3 physicians to 17 and from 12 employees to 150. We had become the largest rheumatology practice in the United States. NuBrick Partners provided us with the tools to effectively manage transition. The work we have done with them has fortified our organization at a time of internal change and growing external challenges.

Managing Partner, Arthritis and Rheumatism Associates

My coaching experience with NuBrick Partners has made me an even better leader in a number of important areas. My prior approach to moving important initiatives was to gain the approval of the appropriate leaders, develop a communication plan and move forward. I began to discover lapses and misses with our frontline leaders and teams. Learning to “own” the communication piece, has been an important insight into becoming a more effective leader. In addition, I have a strong sense of community mission and I have learned that at times my passion can sometimes get in the way of more effective outcomes. Understanding that “doing the right thing,” simply because it’s the right thing to do, will not always carry the day. Understanding how to relate the “right thing” to our mission objectives, is more effective in obtaining the needed alignment and success for the community and enterprise. The coaching I am receiving helps we gain additional insight and appreciate my opportunities for continued improvement and growth. It continues to be a valuable tool for my maturation and development.

Vice President – Surgical Services, Barnes-Jewish Hospital
